The name

Panchi means bird in Hindi and Urdu, and a gold feather sits above our name on the menu.

The tandoor

A tandoor is a clay oven heated until it is fiercely hot. It gives our tikka, sheek kebab, lamb chops and tandoori chicken their charred edges and smoky flavour.

The specials

Alongside the curries most people know, from korma to vindaloo, our Panchi specials lean towards Bangladesh. Shatkora Bhuna is cooked with shatkora, a Bangladeshi citrus with a sharp, tangy rind. Naga dishes take their heat from naga chillies, among the hottest in the world. Shapla Jalfry, Murgh Tanga and Murghi Masala are worth a try if you usually order the same curry.

Every dish can be made milder or hotter. Tell us when you order, and if you have an allergy, tell us that too so we can recommend a suitable dish.
